Phagwara is the assembly constituency which comes under the Kapurthala district. It is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Punjab Assembly Election 2022 for Phagwara was held on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Phagwara assembly seat had 1,78,364 registered voters. Of the, 93,930 were male and 84,434 were female voters. 0.6% of votes were casted for NOTA.

The top three candidates split 94.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Som Parkash got a total of 45,479 votes, while Indian National Congress's Joginder Singh Mann secured 43,470 votes. Aam Aadmi Party's candidate Jarnail Nangal grabbed the third spot with 32,374 votes. The top three parties got 35.3%, 33.8% and 25.1% respectively.
In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Som Parkash defeated Indian National Congress's Balbir Kumar Sodhi by 14,579 votes.
