Talwandi Sabo comes under the Bathinda district and it is one of the 117 Punjab Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Talwandi Sabo voted for Punjab Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.
Talwandi Sabo assembly constituency had 1,49,354 electors in 2017, out of which 80,351 were male voters and 69,003 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.
In the Punjab Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Talwandi Sabo constituency had 9 candidates for assembly seat contention. Talwandi Sabo was one of 20 seats won by the Aam Aadmi Party. Aam Aadmi Party's Prof. Baljinder Kaur won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Khushbaz Singh Jatana by a margin of 19,293 votes.
The top three candidates split 97.2% of votes between them. Aam Aadmi Party's Prof. Baljinder Kaur got a total of 54,553 votes, while Indian National Congress's Khushbaz Singh Jatana secured 35,260 votes. Shiromani Akali Dal's candidate Jeetmohinder Singh Sidhu grabbed the third spot with 34,473 votes. The top three parties got 42.7%, 27.6% and 27.0% respectively.
In Punjab Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Jeetmohinder Singh Sidhu defeated Shiromani Akali Dal's Amarjit Singh Sidhu by 8,244 votes.
