UP MLC Election Result 2022: BJP whitewashes by winning 33 of 36 seats
The counting of votes in 27 seats in the Uttar Pradesh legislative council elections held on 36 seats is currently underway. The BJP in a clean sweep has bagged 33 out of the 36 seats. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the newly-elected members. Taking to Twitter, he said, "Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the newly elected members of the Upper House of Uttar Pradesh." Earlier, BJP has bagged nine seats unopposed including Budaun, Hardoi, Kheri, Mirzapur-Sonbhadra, Banda-Hamirpur, Aligarh, Bulandshahr and Mathura-Etah-Mainpuri.
