Agra North is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Agra district. People of Agra North voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,95,516 registered voters for Agra North assembly seat, out of which 2,16,623 were male and 1,78,893 were female voters. 0.3% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 15 candidates in the fray from Agra North constituency. Agra North was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Jagan Prasad Garg comfortably winning the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Er. Gyanendra Gautam by a huge margin of 86,320 votes.
The top three candidates split 96.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jagan Prasad Garg got a total of 1,35,120 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Er. Gyanendra Gautam secured 48,800 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Atul Garg grabbed the third spot with 36,739 votes. The top three parties got 58.9%, 21.3% and 16.0% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Jagan Prasad Garg beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajesh Kumar Agrawal by 23,356 votes.
