97.4% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Aneeta grabbed a total of 72,366 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Sangeeta got 59,853 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Tribhuwan Dutt bagged 58,591 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 36.9%, 30.6% and 29.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Bheem Prasad Sonkar defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Tribhuvan Datt by 30,023 votes.
