The top three candidates split 88.6% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Devendra Pratap got a total of 85,199 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Virendra Singh Solanki secured 43,395 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Dev Prakash grabbed the third spot with 33,166 votes. The top three parties got 46.7%, 23.8% and 18.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Mamtesh outperformed Samajwadi Party's Virendra Singh Solanki by 3,656 votes.
