In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,48,554 registered voters for Asmoli assembly seat, out of which 1,90,714 were male and 1,57,840 were female voters. 0.5% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 11 candidates in the fray from Asmoli constituency. Asmoli was one of 47 seats won by the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party's Pinki Yadav won the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Narendra Singh by a margin of 21,126 votes.
97.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Samajwadi Party's Pinki Yadav grabbed a total of 97,610 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Narendra Singh got 76,484 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Aqeelurrehman Khan bagged 67,457 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 39.3%, 30.8% and 27.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Pinki Singh outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Aqeel Ur Rehman Khan by 26,389 votes.
