Bachhrawan is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Rae Bareli district. People of Bachhrawan voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Bachhrawan assembly seat had 3,12,741 registered voters. Of the, 1,66,531 were male and 1,46,210 were female voters. 1.1% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Bachhrawan constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Bachhrawan was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Naresh Rawat won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Shahab Sharan by a margin of 22,309 votes.
The top three candidates split 72.8% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ram Naresh Rawat got a total of 65,324 votes, while Indian National Congress's Shahab Sharan secured 43,015 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shyam Sundar grabbed the third spot with 33,582 votes. The top three parties got 33.5%, 22.1% and 17.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ram Lal Akela beat Rashtriya Swabhimaan Party's Sushil Kumar Pasi by 27,948 votes.
