Uttar Pradesh Election: Ballia Nagar Assembly Constituency 2022

Ballia Nagar is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Ballia district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Ballia Nagar will be held on March 3 and the result was declared on March 10.

Ballia Nagar assembly constituency had 3,58,153 electors in 2017, out of which 1,98,202 were male voters and 1,59,951 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.5% votes.

What happened last time

In 2017, 14 candidates were competing for Ballia Nagar assembly constituency seat. Ballia Nagar was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Anand comfortably winning the election defeating Samajwadi Party's Laxman by a huge margin of 40,011 votes.

96.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Anand grabbed a total of 92,889 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Laxman got 52,878 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Narad bagged 31,515 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 50.4%, 28.7% and 17.1% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Narad Rai beat Quami Ekta Dal's Sathi Ramji Gupta by 25,128 votes.
