Baraut is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Baghpat district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Baraut was held on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.
Baraut assembly constituency had 2,88,039 electors in 2017, out of which 1,61,925 were male voters and 1,26,114 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.3% votes.

87.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Krishanpal Malik Urf Krishanpal Malik grabbed a total of 79,427 votes, while Rashtriya Lok Dal's Sahab Singh got 52,941 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Shokendra bagged 28,376 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 43.1%, 28.7% and 15.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Lokesh Dixit defeated Rashtriya Lok Dal's Ashwani Kumar by 5,676 votes.
