Uttar Pradesh Election: Bhinga Assembly Constituency 2022
Bhinga is the assembly constituency which comes under the Shrawasti district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Bhinga was held on February 27 and the results was declared on March 10.
Bhinga assembly constituency had 3,57,518 electors in 2017, out of which 1,93,487 were male voters and 1,64,031 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.3% votes.
In 2017, 10 candidates were contesting for Bhinga assembly constituency seat. Bhinga was one of 19 seats won by the Bahujan Samaj Party. It was a close contest with Bahujan Samaj Party's Mohammad Aslam winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Alekshendra Kant Singh by a margin of just 6,090 votes.
92.4% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bahujan Samaj Party's Mohammad Aslam grabbed a total of 76,040 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Alekshendra Kant Singh got 69,950 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Indrani Devi bagged 57,986 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 34.4%, 31.7% and 26.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Indrani Devi outperformed Indian National Congress's Muhammad Aslam by 6,827 votes.
