Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Suleman Beg grabbed the third spot with 49,882 votes. The top three parties got 42.4%, 30.7% and 21.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Ittehad-E-Millait Council's Shazil Islam outperformed Samajwadi Party's Virendra Singh Gangwar by 17,948 votes.
