Bidhuna is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Auraiya district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Bidhuna was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
Bidhuna assembly constituency had 3,55,347 electors in 2017, out of which 1,94,747 were male voters and 1,60,600 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 8 candidates in the fray from Bidhuna constituency. Bidhuna was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Vinay Shakya winning the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Dinesh Kumar Verma by a margin of just 3,910 votes.
The top three candidates split 98.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Vinay Shakya got a total of 81,905 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Dinesh Kumar Verma secured 77,995 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shiv Prasad Yadav grabbed the third spot with 53,366 votes. The top three parties got 37.7%, 35.9% and 24.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Pramod Kumar beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Devesh Kumar by 18,106 votes.
