Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Anurag Mishra grabbed the third spot with 51,502 votes. The top three parties got 37.9%, 34.3% and 23.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Brijesh Kumar outperformed Samajwadi Party's Krishna Kumar Singh Alias Satish Verma by 7,328 votes.
