Samajwadi Party's candidate Shiv Kumar Beriya grabbed the third spot with 60,023 votes. The top three parties got 42.9%, 29.8% and 25.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Arun Kumari Kori defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Kamlesh Chandra Diwakar by 16,057 votes.
