96.9% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Pt. Radha Krishan Sharma grabbed a total of 82,070 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Musarrat Ali Bittan got 55,091 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Vimal Krishan Agarwal Alias Pappi bagged 50,848 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 42.3%, 28.4% and 26.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Musarrat Ali Bittan defeated Samajwadi Party's Vimal Krishan Aggrawal by 8,328 votes.
