Uttar Pradesh Election: Bisalpur Assembly Constituency 2022

Bisalpur comes under the Pilibhit district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Bisalpur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the results was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Bisalpur assembly seat had 3,48,274 registered voters. Of the, 1,87,870 were male and 1,60,404 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Bisalpur assembly constituency seat. Bisalpur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Agyash Ram Saran Verma won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Anis Ahmad Khan Alias Phoolbabu by a margin of 40,996 votes.

95.8% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Agyash Ram Saran Verma grabbed a total of 1,03,498 votes, while Indian National Congress's Anis Ahmad Khan Alias Phoolbabu got 62,502 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Divya Gangwar bagged 45,338 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 46.9%, 28.3% and 20.5% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Agys Ram Saran Verma beat Indian National Congress's Anis Ahmad Khan Alias Phoolbabu by 56,071 votes.
