Bithoor is the assembly constituency which comes under the Kanpur Nagar district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Bithoor was held on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Bithoor assembly seat had 3,54,074 registered voters. Of the, 1,95,343 were male and 1,58,731 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In 2017, 14 candidates were competing for Bithoor assembly constituency seat. Bithoor was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Abhijeet Singh Sanga comfortably winning the election defeating Samajwadi Party's Munindra Shukla by a huge margin of 58,987 votes.
96.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Abhijeet Singh Sanga grabbed a total of 1,13,289 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Munindra Shukla got 54,302 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Ram Prakash Kushwaha bagged 53,586 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 49.5%, 23.7% and 23.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Munindra Shukla beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Dr.Ram Prakash Kushwaha by 671 votes.
