Bulandshahr comes under the Bulandshahar district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Bulandshahr voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.
Bulandshahr assembly constituency had 3,81,314 electors in 2017, out of which 2,03,047 were male voters and 1,78,267 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.
In 2017, 7 candidates were contesting for Bulandshahr assembly constituency seat. Bulandshahr was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Virendra Singh Sirohi won the election by defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Moh Aleem Khan by a margin of 23,084 votes.
The top two candidates split 82.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Virendra Singh Sirohi got a total of 1,11,538 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Moh Aleem Khan secured 88,454 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Shujat Alam secured 24,119 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 45.8%, 36.3% and 9.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Mohd. Aleem Khan outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Virendra Singh Sirohi by 6,947 votes.
