Uttar Pradesh Election: Caimpiyarganj Assembly Constituency 2022
Caimpiyarganj is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Gorakhpur district. People of Caimpiyarganj voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on March 3 and the results was declared on March 10.
Caimpiyarganj assembly constituency had 3,64,203 electors in 2017, out of which 2,00,602 were male voters and 1,63,601 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.5% votes.
In 2017, 14 candidates were contesting for Caimpiyarganj assembly constituency seat. Caimpiyarganj was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Fateh Bahadur won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Chinta Yadav by a margin of 32,854 votes.
The top three candidates split 88.3% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Fateh Bahadur got a total of 91,636 votes, while Indian National Congress's Chinta Yadav secured 58,782 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Anand Nishad grabbed the third spot with 39,243 votes. The top three parties got 42.6%, 27.4% and 18.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Nationalist Congress Party's Fateh Bahadur outperformed Samajwadi Party's Chinta Yadav by 8,958 votes.
