Chandausi is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Moradabad district. People of Chandausi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the results was declared on March 10.
Chandausi assembly constituency had 3,63,443 electors in 2017, out of which 1,97,399 were male voters and 1,66,044 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.6% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Chandausi constituency had 7 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Chandausi was one of them. The election for Chandausi seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Gulab Devi defeating Indian National Congress's Km. Vimlesh Kumari by a huge margin of 45,469 votes.
97.0% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Gulab Devi grabbed a total of 1,04,806 votes, while Indian National Congress's Km. Vimlesh Kumari got 59,337 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Virmawati bagged 51,049 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 47.2%, 26.7% and 23.0% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Laxmi Gautam outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Gulab Devi by 4,007 votes.
