Bharatiya Janata Party's Archana Pandey grabbed a total of 1,12,209 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Tahir Hussain Siddiqui got 74,985 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Arvind Singh bagged 72,663 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 42.0%, 28.1% and 27.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Arvind Singh Yadav defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Tahir Husain Siddiqui by 2,426 votes.
