Debai comes under the Bulandshahar district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Debai voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,33,372 registered voters for Debai assembly seat, out of which 1,78,339 were male and 1,55,033 were female voters. 0.6% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In 2017, 7 candidates were competing for Debai assembly constituency seat. Debai was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Anita Lodhi Rajput comfortably winning the election defeating Samajwadi Party's Harish Kumar by a huge margin of 65,630 votes.
The top three candidates split 97.7% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Dr. Anita Lodhi Rajput got a total of 1,11,807 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Harish Kumar secured 46,177 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Devendra Bhardwaj grabbed the third spot with 44,974 votes. The top three parties got 53.8%, 22.2% and 21.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shri Bhagwan Sharma defeated Jan Kranti Party(Rashtrawadi)'s Rajveer Singh by 3,597 votes.
