Dholana is the assembly constituency which comes under the Ghaziabad district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Dholana was held on February 10 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,79,462 registered voters for Dholana assembly seat, out of which 2,06,590 were male and 1,72,872 were female voters. 0.3% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 11 candidates in the fray from Dholana constituency. Dholana was one of 19 seats won by the Bahujan Samaj Party. It was a close contest with Bahujan Samaj Party's Aaaslam Choudhary winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramesh Chand Tomer by a margin of just 3,576 votes.
The top three candidates split 97.2% of votes between them. Bahujan Samaj Party's Aaaslam Choudhary got a total of 88,580 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramesh Chand Tomer secured 85,004 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Dharmesh Singh Tomar grabbed the third spot with 71,786 votes. The top three parties got 35.1%, 33.7% and 28.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Dharmesh Singh Tomar beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Aslam by 9,339 votes.
