Dibiyapur comes under the Auraiya district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Dibiyapur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,09,497 registered voters for Dibiyapur assembly seat, out of which 1,69,877 were male and 1,39,620 were female voters. 0.2% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In 2017, 14 candidates were contesting for Dibiyapur assembly constituency seat. Dibiyapur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Lakhan Singh won the election by defeating Samajwadi Party's Pradeep Kumar Yadav by a margin of 12,094 votes.
The top three candidates split 95.5% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Lakhan Singh got a total of 71,480 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Pradeep Kumar Yadav secured 59,386 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Ram Kumar Awasthi grabbed the third spot with 51,452 votes. The top three parties got 37.4%, 31.1% and 26.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Pradeep Kumar defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Ram Ji by 24,291 votes.
