Farrukhabad is the assembly constituency which comes under the Farrukhabad district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Farrukhabad was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
Farrukhabad assembly constituency had 3,55,323 electors in 2017, out of which 1,92,913 were male voters and 1,62,410 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.1% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Farrukhabad constituency had 20 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Farrukhabad was one of them. The election for Farrukhabad seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Mejor Sunil Dutt Dwivedi defeating Bahujan Samaj Party's Mohd. Umar Khan by a huge margin of 45,427 votes.
The top three candidates split 85.7% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mejor Sunil Dutt Dwivedi got a total of 93,626 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Mohd. Umar Khan secured 48,199 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Vijay Singh grabbed the third spot with 36,012 votes. The top three parties got 45.1%, 23.2% and 17.3% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Independent candidate Vijay Singh S/o Prem Singh defeated Bharatiya Janata Party's Major Suneel Dutt Dwivedi by 147 votes.
