Fazilnagar is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Kushinagar district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Fazilnagar will be held on March 3 and the result was declared on March 10.
Fazilnagar assembly constituency had 3,82,913 electors in 2017, out of which 2,11,193 were male voters and 1,71,720 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.7% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Fazilnagar constituency had 15 candidates for assembly seat contention. Fazilnagar was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ganga won the election by upstaging Samajwadi Party's Vishwnath by a margin of 41,922 votes.
93.5% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ganga grabbed a total of 1,02,778 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Vishwnath got 60,856 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Jagdish Singh bagged 34,250 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 48.6%, 28.8% and 16.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Ganga outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Kalamuddin by 5,494 votes.
