Firozabad is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Firozabad district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Firozabad was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
Firozabad assembly constituency had 3,79,147 electors in 2017, out of which 2,09,756 were male voters and 1,69,391 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.2% votes.
In 2017, 15 candidates were contesting for Firozabad assembly constituency seat. Firozabad was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Manish Asija won the election by defeating Samajwadi Party's Azim Bhai by a margin of 41,727 votes.
The top three candidates split 92.9% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Manish Asija got a total of 1,02,654 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Azim Bhai secured 60,927 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Khalid Nasir grabbed the third spot with 51,387 votes. The top three parties got 44.4%, 26.3% and 22.2% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bharatiya Janata Party's Manish Asiza defeated Samajwadi Party's Azim Bhai by 2,015 votes.
