Uttar Pradesh Election: Gainsari Assembly Constituency 2022
Gainsari comes under the Balrampur district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Gainsari voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on March 3 and the result was declared on March 10.
Gainsari assembly constituency had 3,49,753 electors in 2017, out of which 1,90,457 were male voters and 1,59,296 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.6% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Gainsari constituency had 14 candidates for assembly seat contention. Gainsari was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Shailesh Kumar Singh winning the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Alauddin by a margin of just 2,303 votes.
The top three candidates split 80.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Shailesh Kumar Singh got a total of 55,716 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Alauddin secured 53,413 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Dr.Shiv Pratap Yadav grabbed the third spot with 46,378 votes. The top three parties got 28.7%, 27.5% and 23.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Dr. Shiv Pratap Yadav outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Alauddin by 23,700 votes.
