Garautha is the assembly constituency which comes under the Jhansi district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Garautha was held on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
Garautha assembly constituency had 3,38,700 electors in 2017, out of which 1,82,484 were male voters and 1,56,216 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.8% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Garautha constituency had 12 candidates for assembly seat contention. Garautha was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jawahar Lal Rajpoot won the election by upstaging Samajwadi Party's Deep Narayan Singh (DEEPAK YADAV) by a margin of 15,831 votes.
97.0% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jawahar Lal Rajpoot grabbed a total of 93,378 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Deep Narayan Singh (DEEPAK YADAV) got 77,547 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Dr. Arun Kumar Mishra bagged 48,387 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 41.3%, 34.3% and 21.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Deepnarayan Singh (Deepak Yadav) outperformed Bahujan Samaj Party's Devesh Kumar Paliwal (Kukku Bhaiya) by 15,798 votes.
