Indian National Congress's candidate K K Sharma grabbed the third spot with 39,648 votes. The top three parties got 55.3%, 23.9% and 17.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Suresh Bansal outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Atul Garg by 12,121 votes.
