Uttar Pradesh Election: Hardoi Assembly Constituency 2022
Hardoi is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Hardoi district. People of Hardoi voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
Hardoi assembly constituency had 3,93,540 electors in 2017, out of which 2,13,248 were male voters and 1,80,292 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.6% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Hardoi constituency had 13 candidates for assembly seat contention. Hardoi was one of 47 seats won by the Samajwadi Party. It was a close contest with Samajwadi Party's Nitin Agarwal winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Raja Bux Singh by a margin of just 5,109 votes.
The top three candidates split 96.9% of votes between them. Samajwadi Party's Nitin Agarwal got a total of 97,735 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Raja Bux Singh secured 92,626 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Dharmveer Singh grabbed the third spot with 30,628 votes. The top three parties got 42.8%, 40.6% and 13.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Nitin Agarwal beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Raja Bux Singh by 43,682 votes.
