Husainganj comes under the Fatehpur district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Husainganj voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 2,86,819 registered voters for Husainganj assembly seat, out of which 1,56,214 were male and 1,30,605 were female voters. 0.8% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Husainganj constituency had 11 candidates for assembly seat contention. Husainganj was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ranvendra Pratap Singh Urf Dhunni Bhaiya won the election by upstaging Indian National Congress's Usha Maurya by a margin of 18,593 votes.
The top three candidates split 94.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ranvendra Pratap Singh Urf Dhunni Bhaiya got a total of 73,595 votes, while Indian National Congress's Usha Maurya secured 55,002 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Mo. Asif grabbed the third spot with 34,415 votes. The top three parties got 42.5%, 31.7% and 19.9% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Mo. Asif defeated Indian National Congress's Usha Devi Alias Anila Maurya by 2,851 votes.
