Isauli comes under the Sultanpur district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Isauli voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Isauli assembly seat had 3,39,863 registered voters. Of the, 1,78,186 were male and 1,61,677 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 12 candidates in the fray from Isauli constituency. Isauli was one of 47 seats won by the Samajwadi Party. It was a close contest with Samajwadi Party's Abrar Ahmad winning the election upstaging Bharatiya Janata Party's Om Prakash Pandey "bajrangee" by a margin of just 4,241 votes.

Samajwadi Party's Abrar Ahmad got a total of 51,583 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Om Prakash Pandey "bajrangee" secured 47,342 votes. Rashtriya Lok Dal's candidate Yash Bhadra Singh "monu" grabbed the third spot with 43,026 votes. The top three parties got 27.3%, 25.0% and 22.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Abrar Ahmad outperformed Peace Party's Yash Bhadra Singh (Monu) by 13,941 votes.
