Kadipur is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Sultanpur district. People of Kadipur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Kadipur assembly seat had 3,58,256 registered voters. Of the, 1,88,569 were male and 1,69,687 were female voters. 0.8% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Kadipur constituency had 11 candidates for assembly seat contention. Kadipur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajesh Gautam won the election by upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhageluram by a margin of 26,604 votes.
The top three candidates split 86.7% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajesh Gautam got a total of 87,353 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhageluram secured 60,749 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Angad Kumar grabbed the third spot with 32,042 votes. The top three parties got 42.0%, 29.2% and 15.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Ramchandra Chaudhary defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhagelu Ram by 38,110 votes.
