Khadda is the assembly constituency which comes under the Kushinagar district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Khadda was held on March 3 and the results was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Khadda assembly seat had 3,11,685 registered voters. Of the, 1,71,621 were male and 1,40,064 were female voters. 0.7% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 15 candidates in the fray from Khadda constituency. Khadda was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jatashanker Tripathi won the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Vijay Pratap Kushwaha by a margin of 38,497 votes.
The top three candidates split 83.6% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jatashanker Tripathi got a total of 82,537 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Vijay Pratap Kushwaha secured 44,040 votes. Samajwadi Party's candidate Vijendra Pal Yadav grabbed the third spot with 34,982 votes. The top three parties got 42.7%, 22.8% and 18.1% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Vijay Kumar Dubey beat Samajwadi Party's N.P. Kushwaha by 2,145 votes.
