Khalilabad is the assembly constituency which comes under the S. Kabir Nagar district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Khalilabad was held on March 3 and the results was declared on March 10.
Khalilabad assembly constituency had 4,27,309 electors in 2017, out of which 2,34,268 were male voters and 1,93,041 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.2% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Khalilabad constituency had 22 candidates for assembly seat contention. Khalilabad was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Digvijay Narayan Alis Jay Chaubey won the election by upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Mashhoor Alam Choudhary by a margin of 16,037 votes.
76.2% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Digvijay Narayan Alis Jay Chaubey grabbed a total of 72,061 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Mashhoor Alam Choudhary got 56,024 votes. Peace Party's candidate Dr. Mohd. Ayub bagged 42,041 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 32.3%, 25.1% and 18.8% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Peace Party's Dr. Moh. Ayub beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Mashhoor Alam by 5,392 votes.
