Uttar Pradesh Election: Khatauli Assembly Constituency 2022
Khatauli comes under the Muzaffarnagar district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Khatauli voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the results was declared on March 10.
Khatauli assembly constituency had 2,98,719 electors in 2017, out of which 1,60,758 were male voters and 1,37,961 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.2% votes.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Khatauli constituency had 15 candidates for assembly seat contention. Khatauli was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Vikram Singh won the election by upstaging Samajwadi Party's Chandan Singh Chauhan by a margin of 31,374 votes.
The top three candidates split 92.1% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Vikram Singh got a total of 94,771 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Chandan Singh Chauhan secured 63,397 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shivan Singh Saini grabbed the third spot with 37,380 votes. The top three parties got 44.6%, 29.8% and 17.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Rashtriya Lok Dal's Kartar Singh Bhadana defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Tara Chand Shastri by 5,875 votes.
