Uttar Pradesh Election: Kheragarh Assembly Constituency 2022

Kheragarh comes under the Agra district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Kheragarh voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.

Kheragarh assembly constituency had 3,09,763 electors in 2017, out of which 1,68,936 were male voters and 1,40,827 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.

What happened last time

In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 14 candidates in the fray from Kheragarh constituency. Kheragarh was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahesh Kumar Goyal won the election upstaging Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha by a margin of 31,999 votes.

The top three candidates split 90.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mahesh Kumar Goyal got a total of 93,510 votes, while Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha secured 61,511 votes. Indian National Congress's candidate Kusumlata Dixit grabbed the third spot with 23,088 votes. The top three parties got 47.3%, 31.1% and 11.7% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Bhagvan Singh Kushwaha outperformed Samajwadi Party's Rani Pakshalika Singh by 7,106 votes.
