Uttar Pradesh Election: Kishani (SC) Assembly Constituency 2022
Kishani (SC) is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Mainpuri district. People of Kishani (SC) voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 20 and the result was declared on March 10.
Kishani (SC) assembly constituency had 2,98,555 electors in 2017, out of which 1,62,074 were male voters and 1,36,481 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.
In 2017, 11 candidates were contesting for Kishani (SC) assembly constituency seat. Kishani (SC) was one of 47 seats won by the Samajwadi Party. Samajwadi Party's Brajesh Kumar won the election by defeating Bharatiya Janata Party's Sunil Kumar by a margin of 16,529 votes.
96.5% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Samajwadi Party's Brajesh Kumar grabbed a total of 80,475 votes, while Bharatiya Janata Party's Sunil Kumar got 63,946 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Kamlesh Kumari bagged 27,858 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 45.1%, 35.8% and 15.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Eng. Brajesh Katheriya beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Km. Sandhya by 35,050 votes.
