Uttar Pradesh Election: Kithore Assembly Constituency 2022

Kithore is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Meerut district. Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Kithore was held on February 10 and the result was declared on March 10.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 3,38,733 registered voters for Kithore assembly seat, out of which 1,88,945 were male and 1,49,788 were female voters. 0.4% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.

What happened last time

In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Kithore constituency had 7 candidates for assembly seat contention. Kithore was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Satyavir Tyagi winning the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Shahid Manzoor by a margin of just 10,822 votes.

The top three candidates split 96.4% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Satyavir Tyagi got a total of 90,622 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Shahid Manzoor secured 79,800 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Gajraj Singh grabbed the third spot with 62,503 votes. The top three parties got 37.5%, 33.0% and 25.9% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shahid Manzoor beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Lakhi Ram Nagar by 11,106 votes.
