Uttar Pradesh Election: Koraon Assembly Constituency 2022

Koraon comes under the Allahabad district and it is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . People of Koraon voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 27 and the result was declared on March 10.

Koraon assembly constituency had 3,29,314 electors in 2017, out of which 1,78,713 were male voters and 1,50,601 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 1.0% votes.

What happened last time

In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Koraon constituency had 13 candidates for assembly seat contention. Total 312 seats were won by the Bharatiya Janata Party, Koraon was one of them. The election for Koraon seat was comfortably won by Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajmani defeating Indian National Congress's Ram Kripal by a huge margin of 53,696 votes.

89.7% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Rajmani grabbed a total of 1,00,427 votes, while Indian National Congress's Ram Kripal got 46,731 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Raj Bali Jaisal bagged 26,056 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 52.0%, 24.2% and 13.5% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Rajbali Jaisal beat Communist Party Of India (MARXIST)'s Ramkripal by 7,773 votes.
