Uttar Pradesh Election: Lakhimpur Assembly Constituency 2022

Lakhimpur is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Kheri district. People of Lakhimpur voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, the Lakhimpur assembly seat had 3,93,409 registered voters. Of the, 2,09,682 were male and 1,83,727 were female voters. 0.6% of votes were casted for NOTA.

What happened last time

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Lakhimpur assembly constituency seat. Lakhimpur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Yogesh Verma won the election by defeating Samajwadi Party's Utkarsh Verma Madhur by a margin of 37,748 votes.

The top three candidates split 97.4% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Yogesh Verma got a total of 1,22,677 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Utkarsh Verma Madhur secured 84,929 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Shashidhar Mishra Naame Mahraj grabbed the third spot with 39,068 votes. The top three parties got 48.5%, 33.5% and 15.4% respectively.

In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Utkarsh Verma Madhur beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Gyan Prakash Bajpai by 37,993 votes.
