Lalitpur is the assembly constituency which comes under the Lalitpur district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Lalitpur was held on February 20 and the results was declared on March 10.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2017, there were 4,53,357 registered voters for Lalitpur assembly seat, out of which 2,38,723 were male and 2,14,634 were female voters. 1.1% of voters opted for for the None of the Above (NOTA) option.
In 2017, 11 candidates were competing for Lalitpur assembly constituency seat. Lalitpur was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a one way contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramratan Kushwaha comfortably winning the election defeating Samajwadi Party's Jyoti Singh by a huge margin of 68,255 votes.
The top three candidates split 96.2% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Ramratan Kushwaha got a total of 1,56,942 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Jyoti Singh secured 88,687 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Santosh Kushwaha grabbed the third spot with 55,549 votes. The top three parties got 50.1%, 28.3% and 17.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Ramesh Prasad Kushwaha defeated Samajwadi Party's Chandra Bhusan Singh Bundela #guddu Raja# by 11,323 votes.
