Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Pradyumn Verma grabbed the third spot with 45,050 votes. The top three parties got 39.0%, 38.1% and 21.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Narendra Singh Verma beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Ahmad Anshari by 19,589 votes.
