Maholi is the assembly constituency which comes under the Sitapur district. It is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies . Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 for Maholi will be held on February 23 and the result was declared on March 10.
In 2017, the Maholi assembly seat had 3,51,889 registered voters. Of the, 1,91,245 were male and 1,60,644 were female voters. 0.5% of votes were casted for NOTA.
In the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election 2017, Maholi constituency had 15 candidates for assembly seat contention. Maholi was one of 312 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. It was a close contest with Bharatiya Janata Party's Shashank Trivedi winning the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Anoop Kumar Gupta by a margin of just 3,717 votes.
91.3% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Shashank Trivedi grabbed a total of 80,938 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Anoop Kumar Gupta got 77,221 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Mahesh Chandra Mishra bagged 60,917 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 33.7%, 32.2% and 25.4% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Anoop Kumar Gupta defeated Bahujan Samaj Party's Mahesh Chandra Mishra by 22,715 votes.
