The top three candidates split 97.4% of votes between them. Bharatiya Janata Party's Jai Devi got a total of 94,677 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Rajbala secured 72,009 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Satya Kumar Gautam grabbed the third spot with 53,481 votes. The top three parties got 41.9%, 31.9% and 23.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Indal Kumar outperformed Rashtravadi Communist Party's Kaushal Kishore by 2,215 votes.
