Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Chandrabhan Singh Patel grabbed the third spot with 32,498 votes. The top three parties got 44.5%, 21.2% and 17.0% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Bahujan Samaj Party's Chandrabhan Singh Patel outperformed Samajwadi Party's Shyamacharan Gupta by 3,697 votes.
