Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate Satish Kumar Sharma bagged 59,871 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 31.5%, 31.3% and 28.6% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Rashtriya Lok Dal's Jayant Chaudhary beat All India Trinamool Congress's Pt. Shyam Sunder Sharma Pachahara by 16,055 votes.
