Uttar Pradesh Election: Mariyahu Assembly Constituency 2022
Mariyahu is one of the 403 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Jaunpur district. People of Mariyahu voted for Uttar Pradesh Assembly Election 2022 on March 7 and the result was declared on March 10.
Mariyahu assembly constituency had 3,08,114 electors in 2017, out of which 1,64,139 were male voters and 1,43,975 females. The None of the Above (NOTA) option got 0.4% votes.
In the 2017 Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly Election, there were 22 candidates in the fray from Mariyahu constituency. Mariyahu was one of 9 seats won by the Apna Dal (Soneylal). Apna Dal (Soneylal)'s Leena Tiwari won the election upstaging Samajwadi Party's Shraddha Yadav by a margin of 11,350 votes.
80.1% of the total votes were casted to top three candidates. Apna Dal (Soneylal)'s Leena Tiwari grabbed a total of 58,804 votes, while Samajwadi Party's Shraddha Yadav got 47,454 votes. Bahujan Samaj Party's candidate Bholanath Shukla bagged 37,066 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties registered 32.9%, 26.5% and 20.7% respectively.
In Uttar Pradesh Assembly election 2012, Samajwadi Party's Shraddha Yadav beat Bahujan Samaj Party's Savitri Patel by 12,477 votes.
